1969 Citroën DS21 Pallas

The 1969-1/2 Citroën DS21 Pallas is currently undergoing from-ground-up restoration. It is an iconic vehicle that holds a special place in automotive history. The 1969-1/2 model is rare because Citroën introduced this improved version in the middle of 1969 with the new green-fuild (LHM) system, which requires much less maintenace but still had the original 60's style design-elements. The Citroën DS, first introduced in 1955, was ahead of its time in terms of design, technology and comfort. The DS21 "Pallas" model, introduced later, was known for its luxurious features and refined driving experience.

The DS21 Pallas was powered by a 2.1-liter inline-four engine, hence the “21” in its name, and it offered smooth performance and excellent fuel efficiency for its time. One of the most notable features of the DS series was its hydropneumatic self-leveling suspension system, which provided a remarkably smooth ride quality, even over rough roads.

In terms of design, the DS21 Pallas featured a futuristic and aerodynamic body style, with a distinctive shark-like profile and a sleek, streamlined appearance. The interior was equally impressive, with comfortable seating, innovative dashboard layout, and advanced features such as power steering and optional air conditioning.
